R&D Technical Artist

Job Description

R&D technical artist will be in charge of using and analyzing the existing tools and in-house developed products. Working closely to R&D he will have to achieve various tasks like surveys for a given visual goal, creating test scenes, evaluate an propose improvements for a tool, user interface design, documentations… The tools cover all areas of computer graphics like shading, rendering, compositing, animation, modeling, rigging, effects and pipeline.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge in Maya, After Effects and Photoshop.
  • Imagination and creativity, the candidate should be artist rather than technical.
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills to challenge the tools and other existing software to propose new ideas.
  • Communication skills and the will to study in depth any aspect of computer graphics is critical.
  • Japanese proficiency is not required but the will to learn the language is required.
  • Any experience with any compositing package or 3D software is a plus(Houdini, XSI, Nuke…)

  • Permanent employee (Required 3 months of training sessions)

Depends on experience and performance

10:00-18:00, Mon-Fri

Office Location

Wakabayashi, Setagaya-Ku, Tokyo
